Hi! 👋 It's a pleasure to meet you! Have you scrolled through our company page and are you ready to start the application process with us? Yay! We are just as excited as you are! We are committed to providing you with the best possible and transparent interview experience.

Our own benchmark is 20 days from your application to offer. We have done it in 72 hours, but usually, it takes us around 3 to 4 weeks. In general, we keep a good balance between being thorough and fast.

Our goal as an organization is to be as open and transparent as possible! A good example is our 🫀Our Culture (unfiltered) page where we publish our company-wide retrospectives survey instead of just telling you how great we are.

Going into an interview process means committing a lot of your time and energy. We want to give you as much authentic insight as possible about us and our culture. If you have any further questions, just let us know!

1️⃣ People Chat

30 min

The purpose of the initial conversation is to introduce HelloBetter to you, learn about your goals, wishes, and expectations, and determine if there is a mutual fit. Please share your background and why you are interested in joining us. Don't hesitate to communicate your expectations! (After all, who doesn't want to work remotely from the beach, sipping on a coconut? 🥥🌴)

  • What you can expect from the position: salary, hours, flexibility, team, etc.

2️⃣ Hiring Manager Interview

45-60 min Personal Feedback call

During the second interview, you will meet your future manager and discuss your expectations for the role, your attributes, and your skills. You will gain a deeper understanding of the role, current projects, and your tasks as a part of the team. Additionally, there will be time for questions.

  • Experiences, motivations & expectations

  • For technical roles: technical questions and tech stack
3️⃣ Case Study / Code Challenge

2-3 h 4 days to complete Personal Feedback Call

If your conversation with your future manager went well and you are still interested in the position, it's time for our case study/code challenge. The case study is tailored to the role you are applying for and covers a current topic/challenge the team is facing. It is a great opportunity to determine if the position is the right fit for you.

You will receive your case study with all further instructions via email from the people team.

Not all positions include a case study in the process. In the people chat, you will get a heads-up for the further process.
4️⃣ E-Meet the Team

30-60 min Personal Feedback Call

What could be more important than meeting your future team? In some cases, this may also involve discussing your case study results. The team will have prepared questions, and you are welcome to ask team-related questions as well.

5️⃣ Founder Talk

15-30 min Personal Feedback Call

As a final step in the interview process, we would like to offer you the opportunity to meet one of our founders. Our founders are approachable and enjoy meeting potential future colleagues.

We will send you the official offer letter via email and answer any potential questions you may have. Once you accept, we'll request some additional documents (such as ID) and draft the contract.
